The Greater Victoria Police Diversity Advisory Committee and the Community Partnership Network (CPN) organized a diversity seminar on "Exploring Relationships between Police and Diverse Communities — A Theatre Project". An engaging three-hour seminar using transformational theatre explored relationships between ethno-cultural community members and the police. Using real life stories gathered from the Victoria Police Department and local diverse community members, the theatre scenes presented issues, gaps and barriers related to bias, cross-cultural misunderstandings, stereotypes, etc. that can negatively impact police-community interactions.
